Dear Class of 2026 Students and Families,

Congratulations! The College will be welcoming families and guests to the Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2026, and related events, May 14-17, 2026.

The Class of 2026 picked up their caps, gowns, and five Commencement guest tickets on Wednesday, April 15. Any student that has not already picked up their cap, gown, and Commencement guest tickets should plan to come to Harkins Hall 403, Monday – Thursday, from 9 a.m. -4 p.m., prior to Thursday, May 14.

All information about Commencement weekend, including schedules, logistical information, updates about events, and important announcements will be posted on the Commencement webpage. Commencement events will be livestreamed and can be accessed on our website.

Guest Registration

All graduates were asked to register their guests to Commencement. We asked for guest contact information as in the event of an emergency or change of schedule, we want to be able to communicate directly with attendees.

If you have not registered your guests, please follow these instructions:

  • Students – please register your guests here: 2026 Commencement Guest Registration
  • You will need your guest’s full name, email, and cell phone number to complete registration and ensure their spot
  • After selecting one for graduating senior, you need to select the number of guests – up to five.
  • Once you select a number of guests, you will be directed to the next page to continue the registration process.
  • Attendee 1 will be you, the graduate. Enter your information, then that for each of your guests. If you enter “Guest of” and your last name, the ticket distribution process will be delayed.
  • Once you complete the process you will receive a confirmation email.
  • If your guests change or you do not enter all their information, you will not be able to go back and edit your registration. Please contact the Office of College Event Management and Planning to adjust registrations.
  • Only graduating students may register their guests and must utilize the PC student email when registering.

There is no cost associated with registering for Commencement guest tickets. Selling or purchasing tickets is strictly prohibited.

Parking and Transportation

Guests are encouraged to park on campus for the events of the weekend. Construction has impacted several parking areas on campus. Providence College Security will direct you to available parking for all on-campus events. 212 Huxley Avenue is the main campus entrance.

Please note the available parking locations, which are also viewable on the interactive map:

  • Garage at Anderson Stadium
  • Shanley Lot-gates will be up
  • Peterson Garage
  • Lot behind St. Dominic Chapel
  • Adjacent to the Ryan Center for Business Studies
  • Ben Mondor and Smith Center parking lots
  • Lot behind Phillips Memorial Library
  • Sowa Lot
  • Schneider Arena Lot
  • Annie St. Lot

Shuttles will be circulating campus parking lots from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, to drop guests at Concannon Circle.

At the AMP: Event parking for the commencement ceremony is available at various privately owned lots around the city, as well as in the garage adjacent to the Amica Mutual Pavilion. In an effort to improve traffic flow and accommodate events in both the AMP and RI Convention Center, The Amica Mutual Pavilion is offering the ability to reserve parking in their South Garage (1 Sabin St.) for Providence College Commencement attendees. Once booked, attendees will be guaranteed a spot in the South Garage and will have access to the garage four (4) hours before the Commencement ceremony begins.

The North Garage (99 West Exchange St.) is still available but on a first come first served basis. Space may be limited if there is a Convention Center event at the same time as your commencement. Please note this parking app is not managed by or affiliated with Providence College.

Transportation to the Amica Mutual Pavilion

Members of the class of 2026 were able to sign-up for bus transportation to the AMP. The buses will depart from Concannon Circle promptly at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 17. Transportation is for graduates only.

Security Information

The safety of our guests is of the highest importance. Providence Police details, including K-9 units will be on campus. At the Amica Mutual Pavilion (AMP), guests will pass through a security and bag check.

Prohibited Items

  • Animals (In accordance with the ADA, specially trained service animals are permitted)
  • Baby strollers will not be allowed in the aisles at events on campus.
  • At the AMP: Guests may bring strollers to events at the arena; however, strollers are not allowed on the concourse or in the seating area. Strollers must be checked at Guest Services located at Section 128. The AMP is not responsible for any, stolen, or damaged strollers.
  • Bags over 12″x12″x6″ on campus; at the AMP clear bags or small wristlets (4”x6”) are strongly encouraged for all events. Baggage such as bags, briefcases, backpacks, and luggage are strictly prohibited. Guests entering the arena are subject to search at the discretion of Management. Updated Information – Thursday, May 14

Dear Class of 2026 Graduates,

Congratulations on reaching this exciting milestone! Your dedication and perseverance have brought you to this moment, and we are honored to celebrate your achievements.

Due to inclement weather, all graduates will gather indoors at Peterson Recreation Center Court 1. Please take note of the updated arrangements for Commencement:

  • Graduates will now assemble in Peterson Recreation Center – Court 1. This avoids the outdoor procession.
  • Please arrive by 5:45 p.m. for line-up; doors open at 5:30 p.m.
  • The procession will begin promptly at 6:20 p.m.
  • Formal Commencement exercises will start at 6:30 p.m.

For directions, use 212 Huxley Avenue the main campus entrance. All information regarding Commencement weekend — including schedules, logistical details, updates about events, and important announcements — will be posted on the Commencement webpage. Commencement events will be livestreamed and can be accessed on our website.

Commencement Updates and Logistics – Tuesday, May 12

Dear Class of 2026 Graduates,

Congratulations! This week, the College will be welcoming families and guests to the Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2026, and related events, May 14 – 17, 2026.

The Class of 2026 picked up their caps, gowns, and six Commencement guest tickets on Tuesday, May 5 or Wednesday, May 6. Any student that has not already picked up their cap, gown, and Commencement guest tickets should plan to come to Harkins Hall 403 prior to Wednesday, May 13, between 9 a.m. -4 p.m.. Any attire that is not picked up by 4 p.m. on May 13 will be brought to the vesting area in Mullaney Gymnasium.
